It Blew It's Lid

It blew it’s lid.  According to Duke Power, the reason 8 customers and businesses in downtown North Wilkesboro were left in the dark this afternoon is due to a transformer blowing it’s lid.  Only a distribution line and not a substation was affected.  The transformer blew just before 2pm today and left some businesses in North Wilkesboro without power.  According to the Duke Power office, the reason for the blown transformer is unknown.  Duke Power workers are on the scene and expect to have all power restored soon.
