Wilkes Community College is missing a laptop. Wilkesboro Police were called to Wilkes Community this week regarding the possible theft of an HP laptop valued at 750 dollars. It is believed the computer was stolen on August 30. College officials in the Basic Skills Department waited to report the missing laptop in case a student had just borrowed it over the Labor Day Weekend. However, it wasn’t returned. Also, the IT Dept at WCC was checked to see if the computer had been turned in for maintenance. When it was determined that no one knew where the computer was, the Police were called were investigate the theft. No suspects were listed with the report.
