Break-In and Steal in Wilkes
Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 9:42AM While the Wilkes Sheriff's Office has made some arrests recently in area break-ins, the reports of more home break-ins continue to come in. A McGrady resident reported that they came home and found the back door to their home had been kicked open. Several things were stolen from the house including a box cutter, leatherman, razors, and Kobalt screwdriver. A North Wilkesboro resident called the Wilkes Sheriff's Office to report that someone had entered their home. The only thing reported stolen was some prescription medication from the kitchen area of the house. In another report from a North Wilkesboro victim, the house was not entered, but someone did break-in the outbuilding. The building is located behind the victim's house. Recently, he went to get something out of the building and noticed the lock was broken off. There were tools and other items of value in the building but the only thing reported stolen was one 10-inch chop saw valued at 150 dollars. There are no suspects in either of these break-ins.
