One Stolen and One Damaged
Monday, March 18, 2013 at 9:41AM One vehicle was stolen and one was damaged. The Wilkes Sheriff's Office was called over the weekend to investigate two reports involving vehicles. In the first, a Wilkesboro resident reported the theft of their car. The victim stated that their 2003 Chevy Impala was parked in their driveway over night. The next morning, the car was gone. The stolen car is valued 2600 dollars; there is no word on suspects. Then a Roaring River resident called the Sheriff's Office about damages to his SUV. Again, the vehicle was parked in the owner's driveway, and the damages occurred in the overnight hours. This time, someone scratched both the driver's side and passenger door of the victim's 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The scratches extended from the front quarter panels on each side all the way to the rear hatch. No suspects or witnesses was listed with this report. The Wilkes Sheriff's Department is continuing to investigate.
