Stolen from Church

Wilkesboro Police are currently investigating the theft of some musical instruments from a local church.  Nearly 2400 dollars in musical instruments and equipment were stolen from New Covenant Christian Church in Wilkesboro.  The theft happened at the end of last year.  Church leaders had discovered who stole the property and had confronted the suspect.  Reportedly, the suspect admitted to taking and pawning the musical equipment, and he promised to return the property to the church.  However, the suspect only returned a double bass pedal valued at 150 dollars.  Wilkesboro Police are checking with local pawn shops regarding the stolen property.  They do have the name of the suspect, and charges are pending further investigation.
